Fringe and Interesting Opinions

I am fed up with the algorithm showing me the same predictable content across all popular media—especially digital. I am on the hunt for opinionated pieces and the opinionated people who write them.

One potential answer: Break away from the algorithm! Set up direct access—say, RSS feeds for blogs by people I trust and whose taste I respect. Explore niche communities on Reddit, Hacker News, and local news in newspapers. Minimize everything else.

EDIT (Jan 14, 2026): Pavel Durov (Telegram founder and somewhat controversial character) said something similar in his Lex Fridman interview from late 2025: a messaging and social media founder advocating that people not indulge in mainstream narratives.
