First trip with Samay!

We are currently in the middle of our first trip with Samay, visiting Bombay and Delhi for a few days each. In addition to meeting family and friends, this trip is a great "dry run" for future, longer trips with a newborn.

Our parents love spending time with all three of us. Yes, they have expressed it in the past, but the "evidence" is visible in the way they act when Samay is around—curiosity, enthusiasm, and love. It is hard to find situations or relationships with such clear, unambiguous emotions.

Samay's smile has become disarming. No matter what is happening around us, as soon as he smiles, we forget everything else and just focus on that. To me, it's a reminder to ask, "When was the last time someone was this happy to see me?" And the answer is that there is no other time or person who is THIS happy to see me.

Meticulous planning and sweating the details has helped. But there's no need to stress when going to cities / towns where nearly everything is available.

Both of us being able to manage Samay independently has helped even more because the other person gets a break.
